At first glance, Blue, nicknamed “Blueberry”, looks like a sad soul. His face is gray, he is very thin with small leg muscles exposed, and his eyes are pleading. Little do you know that it is all a master ploy by this ingenious little fellow to get you to fall in love with him. And his human-parents fell, and fell hard. His mom and dad knew they wanted a lazy dog or two, since they are busy-bees, but who knew what a lazy pair they’d end up getting! While Blue adores his morning walks (a simple “Let’s Go” causes his tail to develop it’s own personality), he adores his sleeping time just as much. He’s made his sleeping home a little spot next to his mom’s side of the bed, where he “protects” her from Hobbs and that human-dad (read: hogs all the attention she’ll dish out.) Don’t let those sad eyes fool you, he is as happy as a clam and his tail often gives him away. He is quite the sophisticated dog, who takes pride in his massive stuffie collection. His mom and dad scatter them through-out the house each morning, and Blue has a unique ability to sniff them out and relocate them to where they rightfully belong – in his kennel. This task, however, wears him out, and what else can a dog do but sleep away the day! Blue is easily spooked by loud noises, and is often comforted by his own reflection and hugs and kisses from mom and dad. He has a spot in the back of the closet where he hides from the thunder and fireworks. Blue LOVES people, people of all kinds, and he shows no loyalty or preference about breed of dog or type of person – he loves them all as long as he’s the center of attention! He is a very patient boy, though, and will take treats from humans so sweetly and delicately. He won’t eat just anywhere, though: he takes the treat to his kennel to really savor it all alone. He also speaks with a French accent, we are all sure of this even though he’s never made a peep except for the yawn every once in a while as he does his morning yoga (his parents follow along and pay him for yoga-lessons in treats). He misses his foster Mom and Sister, but is lucky to have them as his “Godparents”. He is adorable and sweet, and we all would be so lucky to have a Blueberry in our lives!

Blue was adopted to a family but due to circumstances beyond anyone’s control and through no fault of his own, he is back in our program.Blue is a gorgeous blue brindle boy who is just as sweet as he is beautiful! Blue has perfect house manners and has had no potty accidents. He is very generous with his kisses and considers himself a “collector”—of stuffed toys. He will carry them one by one to his crate for safe keeping.
